Northern Soul

Working with The Royal Exhchange we started with trips to see shows, for many Men’s Room members, theatre was a new experience and only one or two had been to the Exchange.

We began working with writer, Louise Wallwien who began creating characters with Men’s Room members and developing the storyline of ‘Thirsty’ By December we were editing the script and had begun devising a performance to go alongside ‘Thirsty’ – Fish is England was created by the young men and followed Pete Street’s decision to move to London or not.

In January, Thirsty and Fish is England came together with three performances in The Studio with Thirsty being performed by professional actors and the triple bill being completed with music from The Booth Centre.
